Swordmaster class, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways...

My fixation on the class aside, I always wondered about the swordmaster's critical hit. You see, when a swordmaster scores a critical, he or she moves so quickly that there appears to be five of him/her, each image striking the foe for damage. Then the real swordmaster pops in for the last (fifth) hit, and leaps high into the air after striking, landing in their original spot suffering no damage from a 20-30 foot fall.

I got to wondering... wouldn't that drop do varying things to a swordmaster upon landing? Upon landing on rock, wouldn't they at least take some sort of damage? Upon landing on sand, wouldn't they become embedded in the ground?

The answer, of course, is no, as Marisa (FE8) is far too cool to get pinned in sand for half a chapter.

This, however, is not Marisa.
